Michael and Nancy both grew up and raised their four children in New Canaan, Connecticut. They began vacationing in Hilton Head in 1986 and fell in love with the Island and its residents. In 2008, they became permanent residents and now fully enjoy the Lowcountry lifestyle.
Nancy is a graduate of Wheelock College in Boston, MA majoring in Early Childhood Development and the Hospitalized Child. Returning to Connecticut with her husband, her time was immediately consumed with raising children. She, too, was heavily involved in giving back to the community as a first aid and CPR instructor/trainer for the American Red Cross, elected member of the Republican Town Committee, President of the Connecticut Federation of Republican Women and President of the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. As a member of the American Red Cross Disaster Team and CERT she is well qualified to respond in any emergency situation. Since moving to Hilton Head Nancy has taken up jewelry making and her unique creations are available at several locations around the area.
Michael graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, MA with a BS degree in Finance and Insurance. He returned home to Connecticut where he owned and operated a local independent insurance agency for 28 years. As an owner of a serviced based agency, he has devoted his life to the needs of his clients. Since moving to Hilton Head he has moved into real estate and the related home watch services. As both insurance and real estate provide insight into the needs of absentee homeowners, he is well prepared to service your needs. In Connecticut, he was very involved with the community serving twice as the President of the New Canaan Lions Club and was a 16-year member of the New Canaan Town Council.
Home Watch of the Carolina Lowcountry is here to meet the needs of the absentee property owners in and around the Hilton Head, Bluffton area. As long time property owners ourselves we are well aware of the challenges associated with the maintenance and upkeep with leaving a home in the south for any length of time. Prior to our moving here permanently, we experienced many problems and headaches that occur with absentee ownership. We would have benefited greatly from a home watch service. Because of our own experiences, we are driven to provide the best possible care for your home.
We are your advocate in your absence and will be proactive in maintaining and preventing possible issues, allowing you to be able to enjoy your time here in the Lowcountry.
